Back to School 2015
Hi Everybody. Wow that was a fun summer and it flew by. My kids are now ages 6, 8, and 11 so we were packed with activities, camps, and a few short vacations. But all good things must come to an end and summer is no exception. The good news is that we have new classes, teachers, and routines to look forward to.
A quick reminder that in July & August I have a “come whenever” policy on classes. However from September through June you must attend the class or classes that your register your children to. I do this to control class sizes. My class schedule will remain the same as in the springtime. If you need to change classes this fall pls email me ASAP. At the moment I have a few spots open in most classes so moving kids around should not be a problem. I’m guessing that as the fall rolls along I’ll be opening up additional beginner classes and will keep you posted.
Courage and Bravery
The words of the month for September are Courage and Bravery. I think this one is great for the beginning of school because most kids have some degree of anxiety about the new year. Simply defined courage is facing fears (small or large) with determination even though we may be unsure of ourselves….and bravery is exercising courage.
Our mat chats will shoot to define the words and discuss examples of how everyone has courage and can be brave. And I hope to share with the kids how even black belts have fears and challenges so it’s normal stuff. What counts is to keep a chin up attitude and not let them hold us back from enjoying things fully.
Please let me know by emailing, stopping by after class, or posting a reply below if you have any questions or comments to add regarding the upcoming season. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone!
