Welcome to Giroux Bros - Connecticut!  We are Hartford county's best Brazilian jiu jitsu and Chunkukdo dojo where everyone is welcome.  You will love working out in our state of the art studio with a private mat area (1100 sqf), segmented waiting area with view windows, kids play room, dressing rooms, and central air conditioning.

Martial arts training is a very personal thing.  Yes, you will make great friends on the mat...but each person who has wrapped a white belt around their waist has done so to improve themselves.  Many want to earn a black belt.  Others want to be able to defend themselves.  And others just love the excitement and challenging workouts.

Whatever your reason for training...you've already taken the first step by finding the right place for you to practice. At GBMA you will learn primarily Chuck Norris's style of karate called Chun Kuk Do, and  Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  I started taking classes about 24 years ago and never stopped.  So beware as this can become a way of life.

Our Kids Program has been designed to be age appropriate and guaranteed fun.  Our Adult Program is for men and women of all ages.  All classes will challenge you to improve at YOUR own pace.  Everyone benefits from improved physical fitness, less stress, and feeling great...we just start at different places. 

And for those interested in belt rankings or tournament competition...we've got you covered.  You'll be able to work towards black belt rank in karate & Brazilian jiu jitsu through the United Fighting Arts Federation as well as attend our annual Training and Tournament weekend in Las Vegas each July.

Classes are taught by instructor, Jeff Giroux.  Coach Jeff has 26 years of martial arts training.  He started classes at age 9 in judo, and soon after switched focus to Tang Soo Do.  Over the years he has trained in many styles but focused primarily on Chun Kuk Do, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
